"Medicate" Music Video Released on Yahoo! Music

Yahoo! Music is premiering the music video for "Medicate" here.

The video is mostly energetic shots of the band playing live, intercut with shots of Davey and a girl, while Jade, Hunter, and Adam bleed gold during the bridge.

    that girl in video look stupid and it should be cut out of vid,as for vid itself i like only that part when Jade bleeds gold...i hope next video will be much better and will have some plot in it ;-((

    It's more mature, and very clean.I actually like it.. you guys really think u could make a medicate video spectacular?.. in a few weeks?.. don't think so.......     I miss the plot that is normally in their videos. But for a performance video it was pretty good. Kudos to them.

    Not a horrible video... but definitely their worst when you compare it to all their others (look at Silver and Cold, Girl's Not Grey, Miss Murder, and even Days of the Phoenix)

    Get out of here, Lady Gaga!Watching the "Totalimmortal" video after this was weird. I love that song. As for this video, it's boring. I don't really care about music videos, though. They're all boring now. And not every AFI video has had a plot, guys.

    They've done this twice now, or had this twice now...The logo for their current album in necklace form. First the three bunnies that Adam had in one interview, and now the Crash Love logo. Bah I want them!!!

    the video is not bad, but after a strong video for love like winter, this is sort of a step backwards. its not horrible, they have had rock out videos (leaving song part 2, the first cut video of girls not grey, totalimmortal, and even days of the pheonix) granted they had other elements to it.i have to admit the hot chick in the video was totally out of place in the video and song, im sure there is some symbolism to her presence but off the top i cant think of anything.again, not bad, but a step backwards considering last albums videos.End transmission and even beautiful thieves have a very strong sound that would be perfect and flow that would make for a very strong runner up to LLW. Hope they do another plot based song

    This video is excellent. Completely different than anything they've done in recent videos and the use of color is very cool. Not every video needs some weird plot element - Days of the Phoenix, a classic AFI video, has no plot in it whatsoever. In terms of the girl, she works perfect with the theme of this record. This record was a commentary about society and the downfall of celebrity culture. This girl is very likely supposed to represent the Paris Hiltons or the Lady Gagas, which I'm sure are some of the reasons why Davey became disgusted with the whole culture in the first place.

    Ok, sorry, but the girl, whoever she is, has got to go. 1) Um, random, unnecessary. 2) Not to be all complain-y and annoying, but she's got some cray-cray hair and she reminds me of Courtney Love. Courtney Love is 45. (Although with Interscope, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually is her.) That's just my opinion.Not to say that every AFI video has some sort of plot, but I think that maybe the girl could possibly represent fame and lust, and if you chase that, it could be the end of you. This is not my favorite AFI video, but it's still pretty good.

    Interesting. I love the Crash<3 necklace she's wearing, and Davey has in his hand at the end. :) I hope hey make another video. And I really don't understand why the chick was in there...? When she was laying down for that one shot and it looked like she had no shirt on I was like, WTF is this supposed to be from like Paris Hilton's sex tape?! And then the video kinda went to hell...

    who ever she is there is really no reason for her plus she looks really stupid,i never thought AFI will have almost naked girl in their vid,and the necklace is just there so people would buy it,its kinda like one big commercial,its sad..hope next vid will be more original then this

    The video looks great! It's exactly where it needs to be. It's a performance video, not a concept video. Just like the album it's straight forward. The song takes precedence. Should they be known for their videos or their music? What's more important? It's only the first release, there will be more. As far as what is shown, what is there to understand about Davey and the girl? They just fucked and he's contemplating why he resorts to this behavior. Medicate? Right?... I guess 15 years olds can't understand that less is more.
