Davey Details Blaqk Audio Release Plans

In an interview with Live 105, Davey discussed the release plans for Blaqk Audio's new singles and the full album Bright Black Heaven. You can see the full interview here.

The first single will be released on 11/26/10 (Black Friday, day after Thanksgiving) and will also be released on 12" vinyl. Other singles will be released one after other until the release of Bright Black Heaven in late spring or early summer 2011.

Blaqk Audio Announces First Show: October 29th

The first show of the Bright Black Heaven era has been announced. Blaqk Audio will be playing Spookfest in San Fransico on October 29th, 2010. The event is being hosted by Live 105 and tickets are onsale now.

Live 105 interviewed AFI backstage at Lollapalooza yesterday. They discussed television, what's next for AFI, and the gray area between an intern and a DJ.

Davey: Green Day Tour Is Last of Crash Love Era

In between songs at AFI's performance Saturday at Lollapalooza (pictures here), Davey stated that the August tour with Green Day would be AFI's last tour on Crash Love. The last date of the tour is September 4 in Mountain View, CA.

The Crash Love tour lasted from October 2, 2009 until September 2, 2010. That is 11 full months, with over 100 shows (full list here). In comparison, the Decemberunderground touring era lasted from April 24, 2006 until October 6, 2007, nearly 18 months of touring. Sing The Sorrow lasted from March 11, 2003 until August 27, 2004 (17 months).

Jade Posts Blaqk Audio Update: First Show Booked

Jade made a post on his blog today regarding AFI supporting Green Day, the line-up at Lollapalooza 2010, and new Blaqk Audio plans. He said:

"Blaqk Audio is in full gear-up mode. We haven't made any major announcements because we have to take care of a few important things first. We do, however, have our first show booked, which is exciting. Should be announced soon."

Regarding the Green Day tour that AFI is currently supporting on, Jade said:

"We started the Green Day tour, which has been quite the experience so far. We haven't done a legit big support tour since we went out with the Offspring in Europe in the year 2000. That's 10 years of the headlining Affies."

102.1 The Edge, a station in Canada, has posted a countdown of the Top 200 Songs of the Millenium as voted on by their listeners. Miss Murder came in at #119. See the full list here.
