Episode 2 of Buzznet's new "In Transmission" web series has been added. This week's interview is about End Transmission. Click here for last week's episode featuring Torch Song and Beautiful Thieves.
Topics: Davey discusses how End Transmission was almost not written, and how it is the same song as "Breath Play," lyrically speaking, but that the songs sound nothing alike. Jade dicusses the "different" sounds of the chorus, and the atmospheric qualities of the verses. Hunter dicusses the challenge of deciding upon the rhythm of the verses, and Adam discusses how he came up with his drum rhythm for the song.
Is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe way he was talking about Breath Play makes me wonder if it got recorded at some point... I mean, Davey asked if it was released and they said something about the music of the two songs not being similar at all.. I thought Breath Play had no music??:/
ReplyDeleteApparently it has music... Maybe we will see it someday? This IT series is the best thing ever, btw. Major thanks to Mark and BN for getting this. It's so cool to hear the guys talk about the process of writing these songs.
ReplyDeleteBest one yet
ReplyDeleteNotice, this IT thing is going in track order of CL? so next week we have TSTS, then after that it's VSS and so on. Can't wait for next week! I love TSTS and VSS!!!
ReplyDeleteHooray for it sounding like breath play! Totally called it. Maybe it was demo-ed at some point.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he was talking about the music Jade wrote while they were writing it. Hopefully there's a recording of it or demo for the future.
ReplyDeleteI wish my computers sound was working so I could watch these..... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteEh....Not a fan of either song. So I don't really want to hear Breath Play. Now The View From Here is another story
ReplyDelete^ Yes! thats something I wanna hear. I like the music for End Transmission not the lyrics.
ReplyDeleteGlass,He said it *sounds* nothing like Breath Play. Just the lyrics are the same.
