"This song, "End Transmission," is really "______ _____." It's the same song, lyrically speaking." -Davey Havok (It's too good of a reveal. You'll have to wait to find out what it is.)

Breath Play?
ReplyDeleteI dunno, the first song that hit me was Kiss and Control --- it sounded like both described the spectacular falls (not literally falling, more figuratively) of those with fame or "stars". Both songs also have a kind of sensual undertone through the song as well... Oh well that's my best guess, We'll see.
ReplyDeleteMiss Murder
ReplyDeleteRed Hat
ReplyDeleteRolling Balls
ReplyDeletetorch song
ReplyDeleteI think its something from Sing The Sorrow
ReplyDeleteMore than likely it is Breath Play. They have the same theme.
ReplyDeleteKicking Chairs maybe? He said lyrically, so could it be that he took the lyrics from an unreleased b-side and put them to the new song?
ReplyDelete^ Have you guys read the lyrics to breath play. They are in under the rose three. They have very similar lyrics. That is the only song I can think of that they would relate it too lyrically. It never was recored though.
ReplyDeleteRAWR!!!! Hahaha, TEASE!!! XD Can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteBreath Play seems obvious...
ReplyDeleteive been all over the internet and cant find anything on this breath play song... can some one send me a link to the lyrics or a video
ReplyDelete^^^It's a song Davey wrote and published the lyrics in a DF only magazine (Under The Rose). I don't think you can find it here... and we probably can't post a link regardless.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Breath Play lyrics aren't that great so you aren't missing much.
ReplyDeleteDF members aren't allowed to copy what's in UTR. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteThe Leaving Songs!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see someone is bringing a positive outlook to the post. Well done R2Z, way to contribute.
ReplyDeleteR2Z, Bad Song?Really?.. That's why more than half the people who picked up Crash Love find it to be one of the best that AFI has ever done.;]
ReplyDeletebreath play technically isnt even a song. i think that its endlessly, she said. it even makes a reference to the broken radion playing suicide and in endlessly the radio told him to stay in the house while it burned down.
ReplyDeleteR2Z.. sorry you don't like End Transmission. I think it's in the top 3 on Crash Love, as do many. I certainly don't see how it is "over hyped". Aside from AFI fans themselves who bought the album and really like it, it hasnt been hyped at all (like Medicate, a far inferior song [but still good] in my opinion). It is a creative, almost spooky sounding song. If you can decode its meaning and tell me why its such a "let down" or "bad song", feel free to elaborate. Until then, I would just respect other's opinions of the song and stop the deconstructive critisizm.
ReplyDeleteDon't bother playing up the "OMG poor me people don't like my opinions because I am such a free thinker!" BS. There is a difference between stating what your opinion is and baiting people for a response."I don't like End Transmission. Huge letdown for me and was overhyped""End Transmission sucks. It was way overhyped and is a terrible song"See my point?
ReplyDeleteanywho, back on topic. what other songs might it be. anyone agree to my thought that end transmission is a reference to endlessly, she said
ReplyDeleteGood point Mark.. on to the topic.. if it's not breathe play then i really don't know..If i HAD to choose i would go with Endlessly i suppose. I am curious to find out!
ReplyDeleteDeath of SeasonsThe stars thing remind me of Death of Seasons
ReplyDeleteI agree with Endlessly she said, but who knows with AFI! lol.
ReplyDeleteI know the Breath play stuff is DF exclusive, but is anyone allowed to tell me what era it was from? STS? DU?And on a side note if I become a DFer do I get access to old UTR?
ReplyDeleteIts From DU, and yes, if you join the DF you get access to it.
ReplyDeleteI think - lyrically speaking - breath play is very close to it. It was never recorded -and there is no music to it. But it says lyrically. And the quote up there implies it is two words.. Unless they accidentally put the space in there.=/ too bad everyone can't see the lyrics. They are quite similar.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's a blaqk audio song maybe Semiotic Love "Hooked on a star, enraptured by the sky" kind fits doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteThe song is Breath Play defenitly Breath Play
