  2. this green day tour didn't happen in my mind. disappointing.

  3. Imagine what it must be like for them. Days would just blur together from the repeating the same thing over and over again. Yet i understand why.

  4. @Pablo AHAHAHA. I was about to start bitching at you for saying that cos I hadn't looked at your name. Then I saw your name and realized you're being sarcastic ;)

  5. On the bright side, maybe they'll make themselves so sick of these songs that by the time they headline their own tour, they'll just drop them from the set.

  6. I was there, all of the AFI fans (including me) complained on how short it was. AFI's preformance was just a small taste, and the only amusing part was watching Jade dance around(regardless Davey was fashionable as always, Hunter was pro, and Adam did his own thing). I think the only thing Davey said, was 'thanks for coming early to see us'. Some of the GD fans were respectful, and actually wanted to see more of AFI, and some of the AFI fans I met/seen, left halfway of GD. (Green Day was amazing btw, but then this was a first time for me. I'm not sure if their acts get old..)

    Yeah that's my review.

  7. Green Day is always amazing. Believe me, they know how to put on a show. You don't even have to like them to admit they are amazing performers.Personally though i love them.

Another thing i'd like to comlain about is how AFI has stated that they aren't really a opening act (i think...) but they aren't co-headlining, yet they seem to be playing sets like they are an opening act. That just doesn't make much sense to me why they have to do these same songs over and over and over.

LET'S HEAR SOME BSITS! Ha....that'll never happen...

  8. Well keep in mind they have been friends with Green Day from the start of all they've done and all incarnations of AFI. So in the venue itself they might be co-headliners.

  9. Well, they aren't an opening act. They are "special guests" which means opener xD

Last show is tonight... Maybe they;ll do something special. I doubt it though.

  10. big blowouts are always a must when it comes to the amount of time they will be taking off. its just bad form if you dont!

  11. All I remember is how short it was (from the AZ show). And how rude Green Day fans are.

I don't even know why I stayed for GD. Way too gimmicky for my taste. What is the point of saying fuck every 2 seconds?

  12. Well, I honestly would love if AFI (and Davey) went just how Mini Miss Murder said...

  13. Well, I do admit, it is kind of a crowd warmer upper, but I was there with my dad, and he hates swearing, so that was awkward. Plus, there were little kids at the Green Day show (I think there are less of them at AFI shows), and I don't like it when people swear in front of little kids. D:

  14. But it's their decision to attend the shows. Parents should be aware of what their kids listen to. That's not Green Day's fault in any way, as Green Day is from the 90's, and GD's hardcore fans should be 25-30 years now.

I could compare it with Blink-182's show. They had a big "FUCK" made of fire behind them. They're punk bands, you should expect that, and unlike AFI, Green Day is still a punk act.

  15. I totally see what you're saying. I'm not disagreeing with you. It's really not that big of a deal, I guess. Maybe if I was a bit older I could appreciate that kind of stuff. :/

    ReplyDelete
  16. That is one reason besides alcohol a lot of shows are age restricted to 18 or 16.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I guess. :/ I hate age limitations. A lot. It means I will probably not be able to see BA on tour (here I go again with my complaining, I know). :(

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm glad my first AFI show was 16+, honestly. Haha. There were under 16s but not many.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I might be 16 by the next time AFI goes on tour. Scary thought. D:

    ReplyDelete
  20. Haha, most shows are all ages, don't worry if you're not. And it's about 2 years away now, considering it's been almost a year since CL.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l-X8q6xiJU old AFI. Davey DOES curse xD watch the ending too!

  21. I'll be 14 in about 2 months, so really it all depends what time of the year the album comes out, and when the tour starts.

And holy shit that's an old video. Davey was like 20. o_O

    ReplyDelete
  22. Cool. Yeah, I'm gonna guess early 2012 if we're lucky. Give BA/time off a year and then AFI. Hey, or how about 12/21/2012? Just for fun?

    Haha, probably closer to 16-18.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh wait xD looking at the date in the vid he was 20 and 7 days.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Haha yeah I looked at the date in the vid. XD

And I was thinking 12/21/12 for a release date, but it's not a Tuesday, which is the standard day for CD releases. 6/6/06 just so happened to have been a Tuesday. Maybe a 12/21 mystery though. That would be exciting.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yeah.

That doesn't matter too much, Tuesday is standard but it's common for a bands to pick a different date. The first BBH single is supposedly coming out on a Friday. In England the standard is Monday. It really depends on when you are/the artist/label. They can pick whenever they want.

Also-A december release at the going rate is possible
    STS 3/03
    DU 6/06
    CL 9/09
    #9 12/12?

The previous records were 3 years, 3 months apart. And happen to have the same numbers in the year and month xD. They should call it #9 haha. Ode to the Beatles!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I never actually noticed that! I mean, I noticed the 3 years apart thing, but not that the month and year were the same. o_O Why didn't I notice this?! They really should release it on 12/21/12 and call it something having to do with the end of the world. I dunno.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Haha they could. I'd like to see it earlier though. I think the 3 years 3 months thing is just a coincidence though.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Or it might not be. You never know. Damn I'm really desperate for a mystery. D:
But for #10 there's no 15th month. XD They'd just start the cycle over... and over... and over...

    ReplyDelete
  29. I doubt it. Someone should ask. Too bad they won't be on tour/doing interviews for a while or I would. Haha, yeah it'd go to 3/15 if it were to continue. #10 is a ways off though... They'd be in their 40s by then. Who knows if AFI will still be AFI even. *knock on wood*

    ReplyDelete
  30. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG DON'T EVEN GO THERE. D: I WOULD CRY SO HARD.
It reminds me of this interview I saw. "Where do you see AFI in 100 years?" "Deceased." I was like "NO THEY'RE NEVER GOING TO DIE EVER THEY ARE FREAKING INVINCIBLE."

    ReplyDelete
  31. A friend and I had a LOOOOONG discussion about that one time before we met. It was a very sad discussion. Haha, they'll be around for a while I think.

    ReplyDelete
  32. They should live longer than the average people. I mean, come on. They're too cool. They're all vegan/vegetarian, half of them are straight edge, they have to live. THEY JUST HAVE TO! Davey will probably live forever, he eats really healthy (vegan diets ftw?) and is straight edge. Omg it would be so cool if he lived forever. Then my great-great-great-great-great-great grandchildren will know of his greatness. MAYBE HE'S GOD AND HE WILL LIVE FOREVER! Okay, here I go with my fangirl ranting...

Before I go to bed a lot of random thoughts come into my head and one night I imagined what would happen if Davey died. I started crying. I would make like a 343493043 page long speech at the funeral. D: Now I'm sad.
