I was about to press "like" until I realized this wasn't Facebook. <_<
ReplyDeleteBut YES! Blaqk Audio is starting! :D Have fun West Coasters! Hopefully they'll do an American tour this year or 2011... If they play in clubs, does anyone know if there's an age restriction? I can't pass for any older than like, 15, just cuz I'm tall, but have a young face. >_<
I can't shell out $50 for that right now as fun as it would be...
ReplyDeleteSo we can presume that BBH will be out before this day ?
ReplyDelete^^No, AFI was touring before Crash Love came out...
ReplyDelete@MiniMissMurder they usually if there is an age restriction it is 16, 18 or 21 and they always ID. I must say it was nice that my first AFI show was 16+ haha
ReplyDeleteThanks Drew^^
ReplyDeleteIn this case i hope Jade talk about it tomorrow :)
csdhufsudifjsdfjweiojrwiejriwj If there's an age restriction then I'm royally screwed over. I'll be really sad if I can't see BA when they tour. D:
ReplyDelete^The last time BA was touring the shows had an age restriction of 21+ since they were playing in actual dance clubs.
ReplyDeleteDammit. A lot of people probably won't get to see them if it's the same this time around, but it might be different because they're at least a bit more popular now. WHY CAN'T I BE OLDER?!
ReplyDeleteI think they actually played the house of Blues in Boston/The Avalon. Not sure though haha. I'm not into them really.
ReplyDeleteThis show is 16+ so maybe there is hope for their tour to be something along those lines. Although I understand the age restrictions, especially by looking at typical BA lyrics. Not really for the younger crowd.
ReplyDeleteBUTBUTBUTBUTBUTBUTBUTBUT. D: I am going to be on Davey/Jade/Hunter/Adam withdrawal and will need to at least see BA. Maybe I can be snuck in in like a really big purse or something. <_< Why can't they make it 13+? I'm mature enough to understand stuff. :(
ReplyDeleteIf this is the start of the BA touring cycle it makes my Q4 '11 prediction for the next AFI album seem even more tangible :D
ReplyDeleteIts not the lyrical content that sets an age restriction, its the location. Sure, if they play house of blues it might be all ages, but if its the kinda clubs that most Dj's play then expect a 21+ restriction due to the type of environment at those places and the environment the owner wants to have at the clubs.
ReplyDeletePlus....its kinda weird when you go into a club and see kids running around sneaking drinks under the table.
True. Don't know what exactly I was thinking when I wrote that. Okay, I'm gonna sound like a moron because I've never been to a club, but am I allowed in if I have a legal guardian? I'll just drag my dad there with me. Plus, how many kids do they expect to drink at a show for a sXe band?
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I'm a little freaked out by clubs anyways because my friend had me watch Jennifer's Body last night. I'm sure that Davey and Jade won't kidnap me and sacrifice me though, so I shouldn't really be worried. <_<
Also, by a sXe band I don't mean that like they promote it in like the music and stuff, but since Jade and Davey are both sXe I just refer to Blaqk Audio as a sXe band to make it simpler. I just so happen to look up to them, and I'm sure many other people do, so how many people there would actually drink is what my question was, but then I realized that the people who work at the club couldn't care less what the band's views on alcohol and drugs are.
ReplyDeleteIt's generally not about the band, but about the law in a lot of places.
ReplyDeleteHow do I explain this...clubs for electronic act differ from clubs for alternative bands. Generally most clubs are either 18+ or 21+. Its just the way it is. Not only that but most places that cater to the electronic side usually have a lot of drug use and drinking going on and its not a place for a young girl to be at. As Flash said, there's laws against a minor in places like this in most states. It sucks, but luckily I'll be 21 next month so if they come to Dallas (which is unlikely) I will be able to see them.
ReplyDeleteHonestly though the majority of fans AREN'T sXe...
Mmkay, I get it now. But there's no saying for sure that it will be a club tour, so I can (slightly) keep my hopes up for now. (But since Blaqk Audio isn't too popular, I don't think they'd do any large venues)
ReplyDeleteAghh. I'm 13, and if I can't go to BA I'm going to be VERY upset. The downsides to being so young... -sigh-
ReplyDelete^To Mini, I think that since it's been a few years and they have been able to gain more fans, that they will be playing at least slightly bigger clubs.
But they'll still be clubs. I hope there are places around me that aren't "big" venues but aren't clubs. Or at least won't have an age restriction. I'm 13 as well, and we can be very upset together.
ReplyDeleteThe one big (big for VT being 750...) venue/club here if a show is 18+, which is rare you are allowed in with a parent. Where I went to see AFI the first time (Northern Lights in NY State) had I not been 16 I could have gone with a parent. Dance clubs may be a different story, idk. not a fan of electronica haha. Then there are clubs like HOB that have no age restriction usually.
ReplyDeleteWell hopefully I'll be allowed in with a parent, because it's not like my parents would let me go by myself anyways.
ReplyDeleteHaha, that sucks. I've never gone to a show with my rents. Uncle, yes, but he's wicked cool xD. and I invited him, didn't need him haha.
