DF Members: Choose the color of the AFI EP repressing!
Gavin has posted a poll on the Despair Faction allowing DF members to vote on the color the next A Fire Inside EP 7" repress will be. It was released on Adeline Records and, if this happens, it would be the fourth repress. The colors are White, Purple, Red, Blue and Clear. Go to despairfaction.com to vote!

How about Gavin works on bringing back DF signups instead
ReplyDeleteThey need to start making their own DF packages. Not look for a merch vendor. Having tshirts printed is surprisingly easy.

I don't know why I visit these sites anymore, all most people do is complain or give some elitist ass hole remark. That's what's fucking bullshit. THE DF perks aren't even all that great, WHOO we get UTR randomly from time to time, WHOO we get a special section that nobody even really posts in on top of avatars and signatures. Instead of constantly mashing at your keyboard and bitching, how 'bout you guys...I don't know be proactive and do something constructive like suggest stuff to Gavin.

I think it would be better if another released was repressed. This would be the fourth repress of the same record, I think other ones would be more cool.

Funny that they're repressing this considering the lengths at which the band goes to distance themselves from their older bodies of work.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have a repress of long out of print 7"s, specifically Dork. I don't see any reason why they couldn't self-release something like that. It'd also be a nice combatant to bootleggers.

ReplyDeleteI'm not really feeling this repressing thing. I mean, I already have all the previous releases of the EP, and since they're all quite easily available it would make more sense to repress something older (I know I would personally adore to have "All Hallow's" in a vinyl format).
ReplyDeleteAs for all the off-topic discussion... Don't sweat about the swearing. Some of us are from Europe and are not used to cencoring anything. Holding back is not part of our culture :)
[EDIT: Yes, I know that "All Hallow's" is not older. I meant to say something that's more rare and harder to get than "A Fire Inside".]

ReplyDelete@anthony G. Never gonna happen. I talked to Adam last year about it and they don't want to repress anything rare like that because it would really take away from it's collectable-ness. that and he probably doesn't want that dork-y face to be seen by even more people =P
