Oh yes, because seeing Green Day perform a ridiculously fun, energetic, and entertaining set isn't worth any bit of the money. I'm sorry but the people with that attitude just make me laugh. Green Day is not anywhere near the most skilled band. But they are quite good performers. You'd have to TRY to not have a good time watching them.
I agree with flash. I went to the show ready to rock out to AFI and ready to leave as soon as Green Day came on if my friends were to let me. However they didn't. I don't listen to Green Day but I knew the hits (Minority, Holiday, American Idiot, Good Riddance etc...) I must say even though I didn't know most of the songs, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Green Day play. They are a great band live. Some of their antics drag on a bit but the show was well worth the money.
Davey collapsed laughing because of the small group of intensely enthusisastic DF fans at the front of the stage. He kept noticing how much fun they were having and couldn't stop himself from laughing.
@ xfreezingxnotex Jealous. wish I was in the pit. the security guard wouldnt take my 80 bucks to let me in lol. I even told him I would leave as soon as AFI finished lol
I wish I could have gone... oh well the set list isn't that impresive, it's all singles.
ReplyDeleteIATVHTBH, End Transmission and Dancing Through Sunday are not singles, but besides that, yeah. It's a hit parade :(
ReplyDeleteDoesn't make it a bad set. They are, with maybe one or two exceptions, quite good songs. *shrug* I'd see AFI play that set any day over no set.
ReplyDeleteI'll take no set and keep my $60, thanks.
ReplyDeleteDeja vu?
ReplyDeleteDuring Dancing Through Sunday, Davey actually collapsed from laughing so hard. Don't know what he was laughing at though.

*dragged on rather.
ReplyDeleteI do have to agree about sometimes the antics can get stale, but other than that...yes!

ReplyDeleteThat totally made the night, in my opinion :).

I was supposed to be there. I wasn't. Where has the world gone wrong?
ReplyDeleteI heard that there was this grandma character in the pit and she was making Davey laugh hysterically.
